Lake Te RotokareLake in early 1970s - winter highWildland Consultants have produced an Issues and Options paper (31 March 2011) to assist landowners in determining management options for Lake Te Rotokare.
This report is now available for comment and feedback. It is proposed that a meeting of landowners and stakeholders (HBRC, DOC, F&G, QEII) occur in June 2011 to discuss the options.
Landowners to then decide to either:
1) Not proceed (Option 1 - status quo) - no further action, or2) Agree through concensus on which restoration option to be selected.If a restoration option is agreed then Wildland Consultants will be commissioned to prepare a restoration plan.
